Staying in a tree house is a dream that most people have. There is something so very special about spending the night in a natural tree house equipped with a warm water shower, air conditioning, refrigerator, and full bathroom. Each tree house has safe and secure parking. All of our tree houses are very private and have a porch where you can sit, relax and watch the wildlife in the Costa Rica jungle.

The Yiguirro (pronounced GEE-gwee-ROH) is our newest, most private and secluded tree house, located near the back of the property. The Yiguirro has a very large wrap around deck to relax on and enjoy the sounds of the jungle. Toucans and monkey’s visit this tree house often. There are two comfortable queen beds and a window seat that can convert to a twin bed. This tree house has plenty of room and features an open shower that will bring you closer to Costa Rica's beautiful jungle.

The Frog, Sloth and Toucan tree houses have two levels. On the main level there is a double bed and in the loft there are two twin beds. This second level is more appropriate for children or fit, adventurous adults as the only way to reach it is by way of a rustic ladder.

The Toucan tree house has two levels. On the main level there is a double bed and in the loft there are two small twin beds. This tree house is romantic, cozy and perfect for couples or families with 2 younger children. The deck on the Toucan is perfect to relax and enjoy the beauty of the jungle. Lots of wildlife comes by for a visit to the Toucan.

The Sloth tree house has two levels. This is our larger of the 2 story tree houses with big windows so you feel like you are right in the jungle. On the main level there is a double bed and in the loft there are two full size twin beds. When necessary we can add a small mattress to the loft for one additional child. This tree house has a wrap around deck with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

The Frog tree house has two levels. On the main level there is a double bed and in the loft there are two full size twin beds. This tree house is private and located on the front part of our property. Children love the experience of sleeping upstairs in the tree house where they will be close to you, under the same roof, but with privacy. When necessary we can add a small mattress to the loft for one additional child.

The Monkey and Hummingbird tree houses have one level, are large and are situated farther back on the property. These two tree houses are private and the settings are beautiful. There are two double beds, with a single bunk bed above one of the double beds. Both tree houses have large wrap around decks with plenty of room to sit and enjoy your vacation.

What is Included

Start your day with a nice cup of coffee or tea waiting for you at your tree house each morning and then join us at the rancho for a hearty home cooked breakfast. Tree Houses Hotel is surrounded by an 80-acre wildlife refuge with a beautiful trail down through the jungle to a beautiful river. 6 nights a week we offer a night hike with our guide Rolando which is fun for everyone. We can assist with arranging transportation and excursions and only work directly with the best tour guides in the region. We can help with directions and tips to some awesome places on and off the beaten path. Our staff is always available to ensure you have a great time at Tree Houses.

Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 11:00 AM. You are welcome to arrive early and we will secure your luggage so you can enjoy the day while we prepare your Tree House. You can take a nice hike down to the river, relax on the patio and watch the hummingbirds or have lunch at one of the local restaurants. We will do our best to get your tree house ready so you can get checked in as early as possible.
