Q How far are you from the San Jose airport?
A We are about two hours away from the San Jose Airport (the real name
of this airport is "Juan Santamaria Airport) San Jose is situated in what is
called the Central Valley, to reach any of the touristic attractions in
Costa Rica like the beaches, most of the national parks etc you will have to
drive at least two hours, because you will have to travel thought the
mountains and because the roads in Costa Rica are mostly narrower, two lines

Q How do we find you?
A It is very easy to find us we are right on the main road between San Jose
and the Arenal
Volcano-Fortuna area, you can reach us with any kind of
vehicle, even by bus or taxi, please see our map and driving instructions

Q How far are you from the Liberia Airport?
Q Do we need a 4x4 to get to the hotel?
A No, you can get to us with any kind of vehicle, even by bus or taxi, our
gate is right on the
main asphalted road between San Jose and the Arenal
volcano, from the front gate there is a concrete driveway all he way to the
main building where the reception is. GO

Q So it is OK to go using public transportation?
A Yes, some of our guests come by bus, or taxi, the bus stop is right in front of our gate, the taxi will bring you all the way to the reception office. The bus fare between San Jose and our place is about $5 per person one way; from our place you can take buses to many other touristic attractions, the trip from our place to the Arenal volcano costs about $1 and comes by about every hour. Q Are the tree houses private?
A Each tree house is an independent building, the bathroom is indoors of the
tree house, each tree house has its own bathroom ; there is plenty of space
and rain forest between each tree house. They are all near by enough to the
main building where the office is and where you will have your breakfast,
yet far enough from it and from each other to insure your privacy. GO

Q Are the tree houses accessible by car?
A Yes, you can park your car right at the bottom of the stairs of each tree
house. There is plenty of space to park. GO

Q Are the tree houses isolated in the middle of the rain forest?
A No, the tree houses are built within walking distance of each other and
the main building with plenty of room between each other to allow privacy
and this complex is situated at the front of the hotel, about 400 feet from
the gate at the asphalted road. GO

Q Is your hotel safe?
A Yes, we are situated away from any big town or any intense tourist centers
where you could find any kind of trouble, all our neighbors are country
people and everybody knows everybody, our hotel is also gated offering you,
your belongings and your car an extra protection. At night the gate is
closed and there are plenty of lights. GO

Q How many persons can sleep on each tree house?
A All the tree houses have two levels, in the main level there is a double
bed, on the second level two individual mattresses but we can accommodate
one more person if necessary.GO UP

Q Are the tree houses comfortable?
A Each tree house has plenty of room inside and a porch outside with table
and benches to sitand enjoy the view high above the ground or to have a
meal. Each tree house has air conditioning and a small refrigerator; the
bathrooms are spacious and have a shower with hot water. The beds are very
comfortable, orthopedic mattresses, and practically new at this point. We
provide you with soap, towels and all the necessary bedding items. The
electric power is 110 and there are plenty of outlets to charge your camera

Q Are the tree houses safe?
A Each tree house has been designed and built by local architects and
craftsmen and have passed safety inspections. They all use a big tree as
main support. Always keep in mind that they are unusual buildings, high off
the ground and care should be exercise especially with children. The tree
houses are very solid wooden constructions; they have a beautiful, strong
termination inside and out. All the windows are screened to keep the bugs

A Yes we offer many tours and want our clients to have the greatest vacation ever. We work with the most experienced, safest and fun companies in the area. To see a list of the tours available
Q Are there many people in the hotel?
A The hotel is gated, no one other than the guests of the tree houses and
the few people who work here have access to the accommodations, there are
only three tree houses in 78 acres of mostly rain forest so it is never
crowded here. This way we guarantee a very low impact on the wildlife and a
very serene and safe experience to you. GO

Q Is the hotel appropriate for honeymooners?
A The very exclusive nature of the hotel makes it ideal for honeymooner.
The tree houses are very romantic and cozy, with the rain forest all around
you and not many people in sight. If you desire some
kind of night entertainment there is a Costa Rican style country night club
ten minutes away, a different experience, interesting and safe. GO

Q Where do we have breakfast?
A Breakfast is included, at the main building we have a wrap around porch
where you will be served breakfast surrounded by our hummingbird gallery,
this is a place where many birds come in the morning to have their breakfast
too. Remember that there are only three tree houses in the hotel so this is
not a crowded area either, real personalized service. GO

Q Are there restaurants near by?
A Yes, you will find several typical restaurants around our place, called
"sodas", they serve a great variety of food at very economic prices also
Ciudad Quesada and Florencia are a short drive away, there you have many
choices of restaurants, from the typical "soda" to fancier places, even a
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut. There are also some groceries stores
and fruit stands within walking distance of the entrance of the Tree Houses
or a two-minute drive away.

Q How long by bus to the Arenal volcano and what is the schedule and price?
A It will take about 30 minutes from our gate to the Arenal, there are buses
going by our place to the Arenal every hour and they charge about $0.65 per

Q How much does it cost by taxi from San Jose to the Tree Houses and how
much from the Tree Houses to the Arenal volcano?
