When coming from the San Jose Airport:

From the San Jose airport you will take the main highway in Costa Rica, it is called "General Canas Highway of "Carretera Interamericana", when you leave your car rental Co. by the airport look for the signs that say " Punta Arenas" follow that road for about 45 minute and along the way look for the signs that say "Naranjo" get off the main road going into Naranjo and go through this town, at this point you will begin to go up the mountains and you will go through many small picturesque little towns, all the roads go through the center of the towns so you have to look for the signs that say "Volcan Arenal", if you get lost ask, everybody will be happy to help you; this is not only the main road but it is also the most beautiful and safe, the next town will be Zarcero, I know that you will want to stop there to take pictures or videos of the park and the church or to buy typical snacks, ( try their "queso Palmito" it is a kind of string cheese, they sell it across the street from the park) keep on going and about 30 minutes latter you will be at Ciudad Quesada, go straight through the town and follow the road as it will curve left, still inside of the town, and then make a right on the first intersection into a main commercial street, from there keep on going straight without making any turns, after Ciudad Quesada you will go through Florencia, don't even blink or you will miss the town, at the end of the road, and the town, you will get to a traffic light, make a left at this light and five minutes later you will be at the little crossroads of Santa Clara, at Santa Clara's soccer fields, ( there is one on each side of the street), make a right, after you make this turn go for a mile and you will find us on your right as you begin to go up the hills again, you will see our first sign that says "Entrance at 300 Mts." (this is like 1000 feet) and then you'll see our gate and you are home.

It is a very enjoyable ride.

When coming from Liberia:

The road from Liberia to San Jose is not in good condition in some sections, this is one of the reasons we always recommend to use the San Jose Airport instead of the Liberia airport when you have a choice, another reason is the distance, Liberia is far away from many of the main attractions in Costa Rica with the exception of some beaches on the North Pacific.
