Join us for a great day of rafting. Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests and fed by waters from the volcano, the river winds 12 km (about 8 miles) through the canyon filled with dramatic scenery and heart pumping excitement. The River offers some of Costa Rica’s best white water with big waves, technical rapids and continuous white water. This trip is full of nonstop class three and four rapids, making for a great day of white water rafting!

Once we reach our destination, our trained/skilled guides will review the rules and safety guidelines for the river. Then we will take the PLUNGE and head down river. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery and a thrilling ride. Halfway through our journey we will “re-fuel” on the river bank and enjoy some delicious tropical fruit while soaking in the tropical surroundings. At the end of our journey we will indulge in ice cold refreshments followed by a typical Costa Rican lunch filled with Gallo Pinto and fresh fruits. Come and challenge yourself and RIDE THE BULL! The amazing Venado Caves were formed during the Miocene period, fifteen to twenty million years ago. For many years they were below sea level. Due to tectonic movements they surfaced and are waiting to be explored by you.

The caves were discovered by the Guatuzos Aborigines. Limestone rocks, stalactites, stalagmites and corals form most of the cave. The whimsical stone formations were sculpted by an underground river.

The length of the tour into the caves is one and a half hours. During this time you will find marine fossils, plenty of bats, spiders and crickets.

Feel the adrenaline while exploring the cave from the upper part and while walking through the river and waterfalls.
