Costa Rica provides unquestionably one of the most fascinating locations for ballooning in the world — low and slow drifting, over rain forests or mountain villages, caressing the tops of giant trees, chasing monkeys in the treetops. With the right climactic conditions, we sometimes find ourselves ascending above the clouds for a pristine view of the Arenal Volcano.

The balloon takes about 30 to 45 minutes to inflate, a fascinating process, that you get to help out with. The average flight is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Some of the best fun is trying to find a place to land — no trees, no rivers to cross, and a place where the 4×4 chase vehicle can reach you. The whole process, from inflation to pack-up, takes 3 to 5 hours.

  • Departure time: 5:30 a.m. in Muelle
  • Includes: Transportation to and from Muelle, bilingual, certified, FAA-licensed balloon pilot.
  • Price: Contact us for custom pricing.
